Open Water
News from Richard Toft Studio

After eight months in an upside down world, I find myself still fumbling through this new reality. I have continued to work on my drawings and paintings; however, the marketing has become very challenging. With art festivals closed for the foreseeable future, my efforts have been put into creating an online gallery (www.toftstudio.com) As always, your feedback would be appreciated.

"Open Water is a new painting that captures the spirit of fall on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There is an incredible change in the colors, textures and atmosphere of the salt water marshes that present a uniques challenge to the antique medium of egg tempera. Symbolically, there is also the promise of a new horizon as a maze of confusion is left behind.

The painting is 6" x 9" on museum board; 13" x 15" in our handcrafted cherry frame. Both the original and a limited edition of prints are available at this time. You will find the work on the new website and please feel free to contact me for any additional information. (rtoftstudio@gmail.com)  Regards, Richard
