Humility certainly needs to factor into this section of the website. A quote from Marcel Duchamp comes to mind: "The artist performs only one part of the creative process. The onlooker completes it, and it is the onlooker who has the last word." With that in mind, this a bird's eye view of the last decade as a participant in national juried art festivals. I have received ten best in show awards, six best in painting, seven awards of excellence and six merit awards. I also won $45.00 on a penny slot machine in Atlantic City waiting for a rain storm to stop so an outdoor event could continue. There are two more decades of other tales. It has been a great run.
