"Winter Elegy" captures the peaceful beauty in the tidal wetlands along Virginia's Atlantic Coast. In the depths of winter there can be a melancholic silence in these salt marshes; yet, there can also be a subtle vibration which hints at the coming promise of rebirth and transformation.

An original 4" x 6" graphite drawing done on archival Bristol Board. It is mounted under non-reflective museum glass with a double archival mat and a custom 13" x 15" handcrafted frame in either natural cherry or a black stained cherry.
