An original 4" x 6" traditional egg tempera painting done on archival museum board. It is mounted under non-reflective museum glass with a double archival mat and a custom 13" x 15" handcrafted frame in either natural cherry or a black stained cherry.

I really enjoy painting these water patterns. They are photo-realistic while maintaining a characteristic abstract quality. The light, color, movement and texture of the water can be captured with the translucent nature of egg tempera and its distinctive luminosity. Hopefully, the meditative spirit of the work is woven into the process.
