Enigma Redux

Drybrush on museum board

Sold

An original 4" x 6" drybrush painting done on archival museum board. It is mounted under non-reflective museum glass with a double archival mat and a custom 13" x 15" handcrafted frame in either natural cherry or a black stained cherry.

I have painted "Enigma" before; however, this approach is using Drybrush which is a technique that is dependent on the white of the museum board. The approach was used by Albrecht Durer, James Audubon, Andrew Wyeth and others. It is fascinating but yet another "tiger by the tail"!
